An overview of the contents
In many practical situations, there are nonlinear objective functions or constraints. Solution methods to deal with such a problem are called non-linear programming. This book focuses on non-linear applications and provides a general introduction to various industrial and management applications. Convex and concave functions are explained for univariate and multivariate samples. As a special case of non-linear programming, geometric programming is also discussed. It is expected that this book will be a reference or textbook for researchers and students of engineering and management fields including operations research.
